Good Evening!
I just wanted to check in and share some of the information I have received.
First, the UIL competition is next Saturday at Dubiski Career High School. The event starts at 8 am, but each competition will take place at a specific time. As of right now, I have not been given those times. I apologize for any inconvenience, but will let you know more as they send it to me.
One thing I have been told is that a parent or guardian must remain with their student while they are on the high school campus competing. I will be there, so please email me if you are not able to stay so we can work something out. Your kids have worked so hard and I want every kid to have the chance to compete.
We will have a practice this Friday after school and I would like to keep them until 5:00 pm if that works with your family’s schedule. Pick up will remain at the front, as it has been. Our last rehearsal will be next Friday, the day before our competition, also until 5:00 pm.
3rd and 4th grade, keep studying as you have been. 5th grade, be sure to spend some extra time focusing on the spelling of the composers and pieces, as you will have to write your answers out.
Last, but not least, THE SHIRTS CAME IN!!! I will be sure and get your UIL Team shirt to you on Friday. We will wear this shirt with jeans the day of our competition.
